usageNote |
Most industrial assets are both 'system' and 'inanimate physical object'. When modelling, e.g., a pump system, that system will be an 'inanimate physical object', with the pump part related to the pump system by 'has functional part'. The domain and range restrictions on 'has functional part' then imply that the pump system has type 'system', and the pump has type 'functional object'. |
